Built entirely with private funds, Bass Performance Hall is permanent home to the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra, Texas Ballet Theater, Fort Worth Opera, and the Van Cliburn International Piano Competition and Cliburn Concerts. Each resident company operates independently from Performing Arts Fort Worth and manages its own programming schedule at Bass Hall.
Bass Performance Hall is located on a full city block encompassed by Commerce, Calhoun, 4th and 5th Streets in the historic Sundance Square district of downtown Fort Worth.

Performing Arts Fort Worth also presents the Children’s Education Program. The mission of the Children’s Education Program is to promulgate arts education. Bass Performance Hall is at the center of the program, serving as a “classroom” and offering a variety of performing arts education opportunities of superior quality and free of charge to all students and educators.
Join the Young Patrons Club (YPC) today and make a difference in the lives of students across Fort Worth! As a YPC Member, 100% of your membership fee goes to Student Ticketing. This program provides tickets for students to attend select Performing Arts Fort Worth (PAFW) performances at Bass Performance Hall, which may include additional education outreach opportunities.
The 2,042-seat multipurpose Hall, designed by David M. Schwarz/Architectural Services, Inc. with acoustics by Jaffee, Holden Acoustics, Inc., is characteristic of the classic European opera house form. An 80-foot diameter Great Dome, artfully painted by Fort Worth artists Scott and Stuart Gentling, tops the Founders Concert Theater. Two 48-foot tall angels, sculpted from Texas limestone by Marton Varo, grace the Grand Facade. The angels have now become preeminent cultural icons in the North Texas area. The Hall is renowned for its superb acoustics, exceptional sight lines and ambience on level with the great halls of the world.
Performing Arts Fort Worth is the 501(c)3 non-profit organization that owns and operates Bass Performance Hall. As a non-profit organization, we rely upon ticket sales, corporate sponsorships and individual contributions to help fulfill our mission to serve as a permanent home to major performing arts organizations of Fort Worth and as a premiere venue for other attractions so as to enhance the range, quality, and accessibility of cultural fare available to the public; to promote arts education; and to contribute to the cultural life of Fort Worth, Tarrant County, and the region.
At Nancy Lee and Perry R. Bass Performance Hall, our volunteers truly make up the backbone of our organization. Whether welcoming patrons before a performance, providing the public with information about the Hall, ushering a group of school children to their seats, or performing many other vital tasks, our volunteers give the Hall its personal identity. As our most visible hosts and hostesses, their primary goal is to make every experience at Bass Hall enjoyable and memorable for our community. They are given full involvement and participation in Hall activities, meaningful assignments, and recognition for work well done. Without our dedicated and gracious volunteers, the vibrant, warm atmosphere that makes the Hall so special would not be possible.
Performing Arts Fort Worth, the non-profit organization that oversees management of the Hall, also presents national Broadway touring product under the Broadway at the Bass banner, as well as programming that includes Broadway Specials, Popular Entertainment and McDavid Studio Concert Series.

The Maddox-Muse center includes the Van Cliburn Recital Hall, McDavid Studio and various facilities that support an array of performances and special events as well as administrative offices for Performing Arts Fort Worth and the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra.
McDavid Studio is a versatile studio space located at 301 E. 5th Street, across the street from Bass Performance Hall that features off-Broadway productions as well as national and local music acts. In addition, McDavid Studio is available as a rental space and is perfect for hosting any number of events, from corporate meetings to wedding receptions.
